Yesterday was somewhat I would call a black day.The moment I reached my aunt's house,I saw my uncle keep vomiting and complaining about the pain in his stomach, while holding his tummy moaning for relief.I couldn't bear to see my uncle continue to suffer,so I drove him to the nearest clinic.I registered for him and held him into the consultation room.We weren't the first though, but a kind man let us go in before him.
At that time,my uncle's complexion was completely pale,he looked frail as well. After the initial examination from the doctor(Dr.Ho),I knew the situation was quite severe by looking at his expression. He quickly commanded the nurses to prepare necessary tools so that he could make a more comprehensive body check on my uncle. My uncle's heartbeat was checked, blood pressure was measured and Dr.Ho even used an OSK for a more thorough heart checkup. As a result of my uncle's unbearable pain in the right abdomen,he asked for a shot of analgesic. My uncle by then was already half-conscious though.Dr Ho explained to me that the condition of my uncle wasn't that optimistic and he suggested me to take my uncle to a hospital. He wrote an emergency letter for me and requested me to send my uncle directly to the emergency ward.
The nurses at the clinic were helpful in settling my uncle into the car.I drove him to the Hospital of Malaya.Upon arriving there,I stopped him at the emergency lane and asked for help from the personnel in charge.I later parked my car upstairs, before running down to meet my uncle, who was already on a wheel chair by then. The way the staff at the hospital handled their jobs really pissed me off. They took forever to just make a registration for my uncle and asked us to wait for ages for the consultation, and ironically we were at the EMERGENCY ward.Yes,it was my uncle's turn.(The announcement they made was addressing to mosquitoes I suppose,as the volume of their voice was apparently inaudible. The nurse ordered my uncle to fill a bottle with his urine, after reading through the letter from the clinic. My uncle couldn't do that as the pain was too extreme for him to endure. Then the nurse told us to wait again outside for our turn.I really couldn't understand. This was an emergency case that had to be handled urgently and carefully, but the way they did their job showed as if my uncle's life was valueless.During the waiting period,I had asked the staff there twice at least to hurry as my uncle couldn't bear to wait anymore.
Feeling uncomfortable to see my uncle suffer and was furious at the staff there,I drove my uncle to another hospital, this time a private hospital-Assunta.No difference as the previous one,I stopped at the emergency lane. The staff helped me put my uncle on a wheelchair and pushed him in for an urgent treatment. After I parked my car,I then rushed to the counter and registered for him.I then accompanied him to go for the x-ray scanning. It was already 6 something.I then spoke to the doctor(Dr.Robert Louis) about my uncle's problem. He gazed at the X-ray of my uncle and told me there was some problem in the right part of the stomach of my uncle, but they still hadn't been able to rectify the exact cause of the pain.My uncle had to be admitted into the hospital.I contacted my cousin brother, who was also my uncle's eldest son to take over and make the admission procedure.
I then went home with an exhausted body but a worried soul, praying for him to be in a satisfying condition as soon as possible.
